Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party
The 6th annual Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party was a day to remember. It’s was full of sweets, treats and dancing feets…er, um…feet! On Sunday, November 6th, our tea party guests gathered for one of two seatings at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm at the Huntington Beach Elks Lodge. The tables were decorated beautifully in Nutcracker themes, the dancers performed gracefully, Nutcracker characters were on hand for photo ops, and guests were treated to finger sandwiches, fruit and delicious desserts. There were crafts, games, a raffle and a silent auction. Party guests were dressed in their tea party best. Some wore hats and some mothers and daughters even matched. Everyone went home a winner as visions of Sugar Plums danced in their heads.
Each year, the table decorations get more and more elaborate and beautiful. Each table had an amazing themed centerpiece, beautiful plates, real tea cups and saucers, a party favor and delicious treats for guests to enjoy. This year, some tables stood out from the rest. Prizes were awarded to the following tables.
Chaired once again by Isa Woolums and supported by the many wonderful volunteers of Ballet Etudes, this annual event has become a community favorite. Over 300 guests enjoyed the magic and creativity that is the Ballet Etudes Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party. We would like to thank the many volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible. There are truly too many to name. Please know that if you made a donation, prepared or served food and drinks, planned and manned a craft or game table, set up banners, balloons or props, planned and decorated a table, procured raffle or auction items, handled costumes or came to help the day of, you are TRULY appreciated. Special thanks to the Ballet Etudes Company dancers for helping to serve, perform and mix and mingle with our guests. This event supports EVERYTHING that Ballet Etudes does. You are all Sugar Plums in our eyes.
